Privacy
Zelioo runs on our own server. This page says what we measure, what we keep, and who else sees anything — in plain terms, with nothing left out.
What we measure
We count pages opened and fifteen named actions: a search result chosen, a place panel opened, a vote cast, a place saved, filming started, filming blocked, a video submitted, a place proposed, an event announced, a publication requested, an account created, a sign-in, an account deleted, a language changed, and the app download link. We also record your browser, your device type and your country.
What we never measure
No cookie and no local storage. No identifier: a visitor is a salted hash of the connection that changes every month, so two months cannot be joined together. No IP address is stored. No region and no city — the country is as precise as it gets. Never your position, never which place you looked at, never what you typed in the search box. Nothing you do here is linked to your account, and nothing leaves our server: the measurement tool is hosted by us, and no third party receives anything. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is measured at all.
What we keep of a video
Never the video file — our server refuses media outright. We keep the verified fact: who filmed, where, when, in which language, and whether they recommend the place. After publication, we keep a reference to the post: the platform, its identifier, its permalink and its official thumbnail.
What we keep of your account
Your email address, your password as a hash, your language setting, and what you chose to save or mark as visited. Your saved places and private notes are yours alone and are never visible to anyone else. You can export everything, and you can delete your account — both from your settings, at any moment.
Who else sees something
The platforms you choose when you ask us to publish a video on your own account — and only at that moment, with your recorded consent. And the map tile server, which sees the areas the map draws, as every map server does. Nothing else, and nobody else.
When this changes
This page changes whenever what we do changes. It describes the product as it is, not as we intend it.
